In short
This policy covers appliedaibudapest.hu and its event app at attenda.appliedaibudapest.hu. Applied AI Budapest does not use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. We use only the few cookies and browser-storage items needed for the features you use, listed below. Because they are strictly necessary for those features, they do not require consent.
Our cookies
applied_ai_session(session cookie, deleted when you close your browser): keeps you signed in where you have to be, and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It is used for administrator sign-in, the live-stream sign-in, the door-check-in scanner, and the forms for registration and questions.attendee_remember(expires 14 days after you sign in): keeps you signed in as a registered attendee on the event app, so you can ask live questions, watch the stream and edit your profile without signing in again. It holds your email address with a signature only our server can check. Signing out deletes it.qa_voter(expires after 90 days): a random identifier that allows one vote per person on questions and limits how often they can be sent. It is not linked to your name or email address.
Browser storage
The live Q&A page stores your chosen language and the name you typed (if any) in your browser’s local storage, so you do not have to enter them again. This stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit a question. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
On our main website (appliedaibudapest.hu), live questions keep the same kind of random voter identifier in local storage as applied_voter instead of a cookie. It is sent with your votes and submissions, stored by us only in hashed form, and is not linked to your name or email address.
Third-party players
When you open the live stream, an embedded YouTube player (in privacy-enhanced mode) loads. From then on, YouTube (Google) may set cookies or use similar storage under its own cookie policy. Nothing from YouTube loads until you open the stream.
Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts. This does not set cookies, but your browser connects to Google’s servers.
Future changes
If we introduce non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required before activating them.
